I have a small family, live in Montreal, work at a sedentary job 8h a day and like computers and gadgets a lot.
Ever since i calculated my BMI with the help of my cousin, and got called “obese (level-1)” by my smartphone, I wanted to take control of my body.
My cousin started running a year ago and was getting ready for his half marathon, and now for his full marathon. He showed me his GPS watch and HR monitor and i was intrigued.
In the same time I found out that my collegue at work used to be a running coach at “The Running Room” store, and she was using this app called Couch to 5K that motivates you, gives you a plan, and basically acts like a virtual running coach. For 1.99$ you can’t get a better running coach for beginners.
Later I got the Runtastic Pro app for my smartphone to monitor even more stats, such as heart rate, speed, elevation and so on. Then I got some beginners running shoes from Sports Experts on sale, and the rest is history… Well the rest is this site actually.
Feel free to leave me a line here.
