Parc Jarry Route
2.24 km
track – Gravel & Asphalt
This 2.24 gravel and asphalt route is the longest i could create in the famous Jarry Parc. Best known for its many tennis courts for the Rogers Cup, this park boasts plenty of green grass spaces, a nice lake and plenty of trees. It’s a sports lovers park : it has a few soccer fields, basketball courts, baseball fields and even a field hockey area.

My route in this beautiful park is 2.24 Km long, so in 2 laps you got almost a 5K. The park itself feels bigger by the way it was designed.
Surfacewww.dyerware.comwww.dyerware.comwww.dyerware.comwww.dyerware.comwww.dyerware.com
Most of it is asphalted, wide enough for 3 people to pass and in superb condition, almost no cracks. There is also some gravel road that is flat and well managed.

The course starts with a beautiful waterfountain in a lake full of ducks, it has many trees, bushes and flowers and a vast grassy field. The air is fresh and the noise level is at a minimum even tho it is right next to St-Laurent street. While you run you can observe many sports including: soccer, tennis, basketball and baseball.

Whoever designed this park had us runners in mind, because I counted at least 6 waterfountains along the track, and nice bathrooms in the park house.

One of the nicest running parks in the heart of montreal, great running amenities, beutiful view and awsome track makes this a perfect park for running. You have to try it.

As a bonus I’m also rating the playgrounds in or very close to the park i’m running in, since i’m a new papa and i know how important playgrounds are to new parents and especially their kids, so here goes:

Kids playground review
Size of playgroundwww.dyerware.comwww.dyerware.comwww.dyerware.comwww.dyerware.comwww.dyerware.com
I would say it's a medium to big kids playground, with 3 areas there is fun for anyone.
Quality of playgroundwww.dyerware.comwww.dyerware.comwww.dyerware.comwww.dyerware.comwww.dyerware.com
It has a section for small kids and one for bigger ones with plenty of ropes to hang from and climb, all games look fairly new and in perfect condition, it helps to have a police station in the park! It also features water games and sprinklers right there for a hot summer day.
