Parc Thiomas Chapais Route
2.36 km
track – Gravel & Trail
This park route has a big forest that is great for trail running. It is beautiful for nature lovers since it’s a big change form running on the streets, you feel like you have been transported to a different place. It also has gravel road and nice sidwalks to practice asphalt running except on the north side of the park. Park includes outdoor training machines, a nice playground and plenty of trail to discover. A must!

Review of Parc Thomas-Chapais
My route is around 2.36 Km which leads you inside the beautiful forest, on the gravel road and on the sidewalk on the periphery of the track. You run 2 laps and you have yourself a 5K!
It's a beautiful mix of terrain that won't bore you while you run. It has some nice forest pathways you can explore, just be be careful of the possible mud after rainy days.
The forest area is secluded and cool, you hear birds chirriping most of the time, like you stepped into another world outside of suburbia. You have large grass plains with plenty of vegetation and trees that decorate the parks periphery and eastern and southern side. The one hill with the wooden structure/fort is a unique feature too.
With 2 water cooled water fountains, bathrooms, and outdoor training excercise machines this park has you covered. It also it's right in front of some convenience stores for a nice healthy snack after your run.
A beautiful & relatively big forested park that is full of different surfaces for different type of runs. It is both peaceful, and exiting and more importantly it's cool during high heat. I strongly recommend it.

As a bonus I’m also rating the playgrounds in or very close to the park i’m running in, since i’m a new papa and i know how important playgrounds are to new parents and especially their kids, so here goes:

Kids playground review
Size of
It's a medium size playground that can fit a good group of kids, but then you have the big green grass spaces and the cool wooden fort for plenty of fun. Here is an idea: hide and seek in the big forest (for bigger kids).
Quality of
With 2 sections one for big kids and one for small that feature relatively new slides, this playground offers enough fun for anyone. Also check out the green dragon statue that comes out from the ground!
With a big well managed space this kids park is fun for anyone, go ahead bring junior!
